How I Met Your Mother
This is my favorite new summer show (new for me). The show is based around a man telling his children how he met their mother. You think it is a simple idea, but it has been five years and you have no idea what it is. The acting is pretty great, but the writing is totally original. It is a sitcom, but it also has no sitcom appropriateness. There is tons of sex, swearing and screwed up relationships. Unlike most sitcoms, this shows characters problems are not resolved at the end, which I love.
